Terms
Terms of trade, written like a letter
These are the conditions under which we sell tea, host accounts, accept investor applications and operate this website. Read them once — then go brew something.

Using the website
By browsing teashopbd.com you agree to use it lawfully and not to disrupt its operation, scrape it at scale, or attempt to access another customer's account.
Product information
We describe each tea as accurately as we can — origin, harvest year, processing notes. Photos are taken in our Dhaka studio under natural light. Slight variation in colour or leaf shape is part of single-origin tea, not a defect.
Tea quality & freshness
Tea is a living agricultural product. We rotate stock weekly, vacuum-seal at source and ship in opaque pouches. Once opened, store away from light, heat and strong odours; matcha and Sylhet are best within 30 days.
Pricing & currency
- Bangladesh — prices in BDT (৳), inclusive of VAT.
- International — prices in USD ($), exclusive of customs duties at destination.
- We may correct obvious pricing errors before dispatch and will contact you first.
Order acceptance
An order is a request to buy. The contract forms when we send the dispatch confirmation. Until then we may decline an order — for example, if a tea is out of stock, the address looks unverifiable, or the payment fails fraud checks.
Payment & COD rules
- International orders must be prepaid through Stripe.
- Bangladesh home-delivery orders may be paid through EPS or by Cash on Delivery.
- COD is unavailable for pickup orders, investor purchases, and high-value gift sets above ৳15,000.
Local store pickup
When active local stores exist near you, you may select pickup at checkout. Pickup orders are prepaid only — please bring your order number and a valid ID for collection within seven days. Uncollected pickups are refunded minus a 10% restocking fee after fourteen days.
Investor program terms
Applying to the Investor Program does not create a binding investment. A separate written agreement, signed by both parties, governs every store partnership, including capital, profit share, inventory ownership and exit terms. Indicative figures shown on the site (such as the 30% profit share calculator) are illustrative, not guaranteed.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your password and OTP device secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, and we will lock the account while we investigate.
Fraud prevention
We may pause, cancel or refund any order that triggers our fraud checks. Repeated chargebacks or false delivery claims may lead to a permanent block from the store and the investor program.
Intellectual property
The Tea Shop BD name, logo, photography, illustrations, guides and editorial copy are owned by us or licensed to us. You may share links freely; please ask before reproducing images or long extracts.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any single order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for consequential losses (lost profit, lost time) except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision; significant changes are also announced in the monthly letter.
