Our Story
A small house, a quiet ambition
Tea Shop BD started with a simple frustration — premium tea in Bangladesh was either imported at a luxury markup or sold loose without a story. We wanted to change that.
We focus on the six categories Bangladeshi households actually drink and grow to love — CTC Leaf, Orthodox, Green, Oolong, White and Value Added Tea — sourced fresh from gardens we know by name, packed in small batches, and shipped within days of arriving in our Dhaka warehouse.
Better packaging, honest pricing, a checkout that respects your time, and a support team that actually answers. That is the brand we are building, one cup at a time.

The story behind Saidur Rahman
Saidur Rahman was born on May 24, 1990, in Ulipur Upazila of Kurigram District, Bangladesh, into a respected Muslim family. He spent his childhood and teenage years in the village, where he also completed his early education surrounded by the simplicity of rural life.
Later, due to his professional career, he moved to Sreemangal — the tea capital of Bangladesh. After working in the private sector for some time, he decided to pursue his passion and started his own tea business. The beginning was extremely challenging, but through relentless hard work, research, dedication and strategic marketing, he gradually transformed it into a trusted and growing tea brand.
Today he serves as Managing Director of Indigo Brokers Limited, is recognized as one of Bangladesh's youngest tea auctioneers, and is a certified tea taster approved by the Bangladesh Tea Board. He continuously researches and tastes different varieties so tea lovers across Bangladesh can enjoy premium quality and unique flavors.
His mission is simple — to ensure that people from every background in Bangladesh can enjoy authentic, high-quality tea at an affordable and accessible level. Alongside his work in software, media, technology and advertising networks, he dedicates a significant part of his time to Tea Shop BD, with the vision of delivering exceptional tea experiences to every home through modern ecommerce and tea culture.
